What’s on tap for today? Well, I had grand plans of getting up bright and early to catch the sunrise with my camera, but seeing that it is already going on 5 AM, I’m not sure that getting up bright and early is a wise thing to do. No worries, though, because I’ll have other photo opportunities today. This evening I’ll be taking in a Chris Isaak concert with a friend. We’ll take the rail downtown, something that should yield at least one or two interesting shots. The concert is up in the air as to whether or not I’ll be able to have camera fun. I recently attended a Duncan Sheik and Vienna Teng concert and, although they allowed cameras into the venue, they didn’t allow my camera into the venue. I had my Canon Digital Rebel XT (350d) with me, and the lens was a 50mm/1.8. It was point and shoot or nothing that day.
Tracks was taken this past winter at Hermann Park in Houston, Texas. While I’ll indeed be taking the rail downtown for tonight’s concert, it won’t be this rail. This is the kiddie railroad situated near the Houston Zoo. These sturdy tracks would get me some place, no doubt…just not downtown, not to the Chris Isaak concert.
