Red – I took the photo Red in Dallas, Texas this past April. I had gone to visit an old friend in Plano, and while there took the opportunity to spend a fun photo day with my Flickr friend, Gravity Room. Gravity Room (aka Ted) gave me a wonderful tour of his beautiful city, but for photographers, sometimes “urban decay” is best. This photo was taken outside of the Pearlstone Grain Elevator in the Deep Ellum area of Dallas. The building, built in the 1920s, is currently abandoned, but that doesn’t make it any less interesting for those of us with cameras — quite the opposite.
I’m not quite sure what I really like about this photo; I just know that it routinely is situated among my personal favorites.
