Our Wonderful Future…
I just signed a contract this week to be the official photographer for a Quinceañera. The grand event will have a guest list 300 persons strong, so I’ll have oodles upon oodles of celebratory moments to capture with my lens. I look forward to the day with great anticipation.
The photo above, Our Wonderful Future…, was taken at a ceremony called Thousand Lights for Peace. The ceremony was held at City Hall, and it concluded Ghandi Week in Houston, a week devoted to the teachings of non-violence, peaceful coexistance, and positive social change. It was a delightful (and rewarding!) event, one which embraced diversity, creativity and education. Next year…I think I’ll volunteer.
