Yesterday, I was looking up information about studio equipment online when I stumbled upon a nifty (and well-written!) little blog post which gives instructions for building a macro photo studio on the cheap. It seems simple enough, so I plan to build one of my own sometime this week. I’ll let you know how it goes.
Pushka in Black and White was taken in early 2005. It was one of the first photos that I took with the intent of making something other than a snapshot. The only lighting I used was the natural winter’s light coming in from a window directly to Pushka’s right. Pushka was sitting on the edge of a chair at the time of the shot, and if you look closely you can see the outline of the chair back on the right side of the photo.
